I am impressed by the resiliency of the human spirit, by our capacity to endure in the face of harsh circumstances including abuse and trauma. Given time and space to communicate, reflect upon and process how pivotal life experiences continue to influence us, we can experience breakthroughs into clarity, creativity and resolve.
I work with individuals, couples and families to identify unproductive thoughts, attitudes and behaviors that restrict clear communication and lead to conflict. I also assist parents, spouses, children, siblings and friends of those diagnosed with mental illness in understanding options available for treatment along with linkage to collateral resources and social services.
