What is Therapy ?
Therapy is the art of assisting people in their desire to move toward healing, growth and vitality in the midst of challenges. Passage from one life stage to another, difficult relationships, destructive habits or personality traits, lingering grief associated with loss, the persistent effects of abuse or trauma, self-doubt brought about by failure or disappointment – these are a few of the opportunities for growth we will likely face at certain times in our lives.
Like the healing of our physical bodies, the path to emotional, mental and spiritual health involves time and a willingness to engage processes and difficult truths we may have spent a lifetime avoiding. As old habits and thought patterns are identified and challenged, the process of change can open up new possibilities.
